Our Online Bookkeeping Process
We’ll set you up on Xero (or other cloud accounting systems) & provide you tailored training if you wish. A bank feed will be set up so you don’t have to send us any bank statements
Send us your invoices/receipts by post, email or cloud and we will add them to your chosen cloud bookkeeping system on an agreed regular timeframe.
We will go through the bank feed and ensure all transactions are fully reconciled, with any VAT being claimed as much as possible (if applicable).
Your bookkeeping is then fully reconciled with the bank and will appear on profit and loss, cash summary and other reports in Xero.
You can post or email them to us, or even scan receipts by using the Xero Mobile app which is avaliable on iOs and Android. We will then be able to access those receipts when we next log into Xero.

We use Xero which is free as part of your accountancy package. We cannot use Excel as it does not have the advanced functionality that comes with Xero. By using Xero, we can reconcile your accounts with your bank which gives both you as the client, and your accountant confirmation that all of the bank transactions are in Xero. If you already use another software (i.e. QuickBooks Online, Sage One etc.) and want to stay using it, we can accommodate that too.
If you are on Xero, then yes. If you are using Quickbooks or another cloud accountancy, then in most cases you will be able to import the previous two years of data. However, this is a very easy and pain free process so do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions.
It can be helpful to notify us about are any purchases that have been brought on finance and that will be paid over a prolonged period of time. Also, let us have the paperwork for any loans you take out. If you buy any expensive equipment/vehicles (fixed assets), again, make sure we have a copy of the invoice.
